Andrew Beglin's Challenge

Andrew has now completed his fundraising trek along the Great Wall of China and here is what he had to say about it:

Firstly I would like to thank everyone for all of their wonderful help and support!

My trek along the Great Wall was amazing, standing on it and looking out over the rolling landscape and all you could see was this magnificent structure go on for miles over the distance hills definitely fulfilled a long time dream! Don’t get me wrong, to get to these fabulous sights you were battling against a whole host of steps and steep climbs.
The trek incorporated a variety of sections of the wall around the outskirts of Beijing, these sections ranged from totally reconstructed parts to rubble and boulders. The weather throughout the week was a very mixed bag, we experienced severe fog and freezing temperatures to sun and clear blue skies. On completion of the trek I was awarded a medal from Charity Challenge and at that moment I began to think about the whole experience, the past 9 months of preparation and the journey I have been on with Theatre Nemo. All I can say is it was DEFINITELY worth every minute!!!!
