New for 2012

Sunday Workshops

Starts: 15th January - Mount Florida Parish Church

Time: 2:30 – 5pm

Cost: £2 per session (Tea, Coffee and Biscuits included!)

Our Music and Drama based workshops are resuming from the 15th of January and as before there will be an emphasis placed on enjoyment, integration and confidence building. The workshops take place in a relaxed and comfortable atmosphere and will be culminating in a fun cabaret style public performance. Cast members will choose whether to perform solo or as part of a group, honing their skills in singing, dance, comedy or music before hitting the stage in April 2012.

Drop In Sessions

Starts: 19th January - Theatre Nemo Studio, 128 Bridgegate

Time: 2pm – 4pm

Cost: £2 per session (Tea, Coffee and Biscuits included!)

This ongoing animation project gives new participants the chance to really enjoy themselves whilst simultaneously gaining a wide range of skills and experience. The current participants are at the stage of developing a storyboard and planning the production so it’s the perfect time to come along, make some new friends and contribute to what promises to be an exciting and imaginative animation.
If animation is not up your street then you can also try your hand at glass painting. You can choose between using a template or letting your creative instincts take over and design your own.

Choir

Starts: 3rd February - Theatre Nemo Studio, 128 Bridgegate

Time: 6pm - 8pm

Cost: £2 per session (Tea, Coffee and Biscuits included)

The popular choir workshops are led by our excellent musical director Gregg Muir, whose fun sessions will focus on helping participants develop vocal techniques and skills. The choir will spend time learning songs from a variety of musical genres and styles, including traditional world folk songs from Africa and Native America. As well as learning songs from far flung exotic continents, the participants will also get to perform original arrangements of some more familiar pop songs.
