Who we are_

We are an award winning campaigning Theatre Company and Charity set up to give a voice to social issues, especially mental health.

The basis of the work we carry out is drama and art workshops held in the community, hospitals and prisons.

We actively encourage people with mental health problems and carers to take part in drama and other areas of performance. The concept at the heart of the workshops is to have fun, build confidence and develop communication skills.

We are available for commissions. If you or your organisation has an idea for a project or if you need consultation, please feel free to get in touch and we will be more than happy to discuss this with you.

How it all started_

Isabel McCue founded Theatre Nemo after her son John took his own life. John was diagnosed as having schizophrenia at the age of 22.

"So many windows of opportunity were missed because of the lack of understanding and resources. John was a very talented and creative young man but all of this was ignored and medication (with all the side effects) was all that was offered." - Isabel McCue
